Neffie, a rescued German Shepherd dog, was misdiagnosed with a cyst in 1992. She was only 2 years old and had a growing lump on her right back. We took her to the AMC and found out on New Year's day, 1993 that she had a liposarcoma, only the second dog to have this diagnosis at the time. She had surgery and radiation and lived for another 2 years. We were so grateful to have a team of vets who took such good care of her despite her grave prognosis.
